Trouwen overview
Which shoes go with a wedding suit? From blue to beige
Trouwen overview
Your wedding suit is ready. The colour is right, the fabric falls beautifully and the fit is just as you wanted. But there is still room for a surprise beneath that suit. Shoes can complete the outfit or give it an unexpected twist. That might be the most enjoyable part.
At Mascolori, we do not believe in one correct wedding shoe. We design in Rotterdam and have our shoes made in Portugal. The question is not simply which colour matches your suit, but which pair feels like you?

Deep blue shoes with a navy wedding suit create an elegant, harmonious look. But blue also works with a surprising amount of contrast: burgundy, cork, an artistic pattern or a subtle sheen. Put the shoes next to your suit in daylight; artificial light can change the undertone of blue considerably.

A green suit does not automatically call for brown shoes. Deep blue can be a fresh counterpoint; a warm red or burgundy adds a bolder contrast. Multicoloured shoes can connect your suit and accessories. Do not try to make every detail identical: a little variation brings an outfit to life.

Light shoes look beautiful with beige or sand-coloured suits, especially at a summer wedding. For a statement, choose a colourful pair instead. Keep the other accessories understated so the look stays balanced and the shoes get the attention they deserve.

A black suit works beautifully with a sharp pointed shoe. Shine, texture or an unexpected pattern adds a personal touch. Take the dress code into account: a very formal ceremony may call for a more classic choice than an informal party.

And the belt? It does not have to be exactly the same colour, but it should feel part of the same look. We are happy to advise you in our Rotterdam shop. Bring your suit along.
