Mascolori designs shoe with artist Pieter Zandvliet

The fourth Pieter Zandvliet collab was born at the end of 2018. Pieter is the Mascolori house painter friend. He has a warm relationship with our friends from atelier de Heerenplaats and has a network of colorful people from the Rotterdam artistic underground. Pieter currently lives in the Far East but always drives a few hours to the Mascolori parties on his fully equipped Zandvliet mobile. The latest collab is a collage of some of his works. Here again Pieter's cartoonish, dreamy and idiosyncratic style is clearly visible. We are already looking forward to the next collab.

 

Pieter Zandvliet

Started painting walls and spraying graffiti in the 1980s. Now - due to his typical comic paint style, attention to outlines and creative input at Galerie Slaphanger (gallery with mainly exhibitions, poetry readings and performances by amateur artists) - a respected, contemporary artist in the underground and mainstream art scene. Inspired by discoveries and exchanges with artists from all over the world, Zandvliet's work is expressive, confrontational, honest and unique. His thoughts and feelings translated to canvas in the form of imaginative, but also realistic figures on contrasting backgrounds. His work travels all over the world with the aim of sharing his creative expressions with as many people as possible.

Mascolori brings together fashion and art. This shoe is based on the work of mixed media artist Pieter Zandvliet (1969). Zandvliet has been drawing figures on everything loose since he was three. And that's actually what he still does. With his typical comic paint style and attention to outlines, he takes you on a hallucinatory journey. His dreams, fantasies and the things around him merged into paintings. An extrovert, Pop Art style that is narrative and above all entertaining. Now put on a limited edition shoe by Mascolori.
